5 Things No One Tells You Before You Have a Baby 🧡

There’s a lot you hear before you become a parent. That you’ll get less sleep. That your life will change. That you’ll love someone more than you ever thought possible ❤️. But there’s also a lot that almost no one tells you... Here are 5 things we wish someone had told us:

1. No one tells you how often you'll carry your child.

Not just as a newborn—but every day. From the car, over a curb, on the way home from the playground or the beach, through the grocery store, at the airport. Or just those last 100 meters when little legs suddenly can’t go any further. All those little lifts, over and over again.

2. No one tells you that "I can do it myself" and "I'll manage" can come within the same minute.

One second they’re running several meters ahead of you. The next second, they’re reaching out their arms and wanting to get close. And that’s completely normal. Young children switch back and forth between independence and the need for security many, many times every day. You just have to go with the flow! 😅

3. No one tells you just how hard your body actually has to work.

You lift them out of the car—and back in again. In and out of the stroller. Up into the high chair and back down again. Up into your arms. Back down on the ground again. It’s only after a long day that your shoulders, back, and arms remind you just how many times you’ve actually lifted them throughout the day.

4. No one ever says that the little moments often become the big memories.

You may not remember which day it was or what kind of ice cream you ate together on the beach. But you’ll remember the hand that held yours tightly as the water touched your child’s feet and that delighted squeal. That little cheek pressed against your shoulder. And how your child fell asleep in your arms on the way home, the scent of sunscreen and heavy breathing after a wonderful day 💛.

5. No one tells you just how much easier everyday life can be with the right help.

As a new parent, you get a lot of advice. “Sleep when the baby sleeps.” “Ask your parents for help.” “Take the chance to rest whenever you can.” But almost no one talks about how many times you actually lift your child every day—and how much of a strain that puts on your body. Small lifts quickly add up to hundreds of lifts every week.

We created GooGosa to make everyday life easier for both you and your child—for those times when your child needs to be close to you. When they're tired, when they want to stay up for a little while. When you're on the go. Or when you just want to be able to say yes, without your body protesting.

Because sometimes it's not about carrying your child for longer, but about carrying them smarter without compromising your bond with your child ❤️

The truth is, no one can fully prepare you for life as a parent of a young child. You’ll discover things along the way that no one had time to tell you about. Some are challenging, others are unexpectedly wonderful—and many of them involve those little moments that become a natural part of everyday life.

Those moments that seem completely ordinary today but will one day be the memories you cherish most. So hold them close when they need you.

One day, they won't reach out their little arms toward you anymore—but today, they do. And that's a pretty good reason to say yes ❣️
